It’s beach time! A light winter started spring early here in the Sierras, so I’ve been doing sessions on the beach for a few months now. Here’s one of the first photo shoots of the beach season with a great family and great light.

HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY FROM DANIELLE HANKINSON PHOTOGRAPHY! I made this as a fun project after shooting my friend’s son. Anyone with kids knows how they can seem like they’re in five places at once, so with the magic of photo editing, I did exactly that!

I loved shooting this beautiful family on this rock cropping this summer! Nature can provide a wonderful juxtaposition for family portraits. A solid rock foundation with a soaring blue sky above Lake Tahoe to frame your family is a great way to capture your loved ones in a timeless photograph!
Meadow frolicking!
Taking pictures of these two siblings was such a blast! They are such characters. There were a bunch of goofy photos taken! Their mom reported that, on the way home, the kids said that they had the most fun and that they would do a photoshoot with me again, now that’s a job done well.
